Tropical Plants - rainforest flora and textures - Reference Pack Vol1

A collection of 400+ high quality, royalty-free photographs of inspirational otherworldly alien flora references with strange and unusual shapes and colours from a tropical Caribbean biome. This rainforesty reference pack includes various plants, leaves, bark textures, twisting vines, and rainforest floor in its beautiful, messy, natural glory - there are also some 'other' textures such as overgrown walls and corrugated iron panels.

What/who is this pack for?

Ideal reference for paintings, environment/light studies, 3D artists creating textures of leaves, petals, bark etc...  There are close-ups and full views of a wide range of flora and miscellaneous textures - a real mixed bag of images here, get creative! 

Photos include various flowers, leaves and bark textures... interesting and unusual shapes and colours for concept design inspiration.

SOME NOTES:

This pack is offered at a lower price than my usual packs for a couple of reasons - these were all shot on an iPhone 15 Pro and whilst the camera is amazing (performing better in some conditions that others), I personally think they're not all quite on par with the quality of photos taken on my DSLR, despite being higher resolution. That being said, I still think they have tremendous value in the rich source of inspiration they offer. The second reason being there are slightly less individual photos compared to my other packs.

A lot of the images are shot in overcast conditions for flat, even lighting which makes it easier to use for texture overlays etc or to clearly see the natural colouring. 

There may be the occasional - subtle - weird artefact in the background where a person has been removed from the image for example, but they're not meant to be the focus and don't affect the actual subject :)

I've also kept some slightly blurry/lower quality shots in the mix as I believe they still provide value, whether that be in the colours/shapes/textures/overall vibe. Whilst the actual photo itself might not be the best on a technical level, I thought the content was interesting to use as a general reference.

A bonus selection of palm tree trunks are included - these are cropped oddly to get the background and other people out of the shots - they were originally snapped for photogrammetry purposes as opposed to being nice photos, but have included them as they're interesting for cropping out textures from.

What can I use them for?

This is a non-exclusive, royalty-free personal licence to use the included images (in accordance with included text file) in a commercial project (for freelance individuals) and unlimited personal projects.

You can use them as part of backgrounds, reference for new artworks such as paintings, reference for creating textures for 3D models etc, general inspiration for your artwork... the main requirement is that the image is used to create something NEW, i.e., don't just change the hue and call it a piece of art! ;)
